Project Selection-Magazine

For my 3rd part of revisions I am redoing my cover. Before i changed it is was just the title and a straight color. This time i changed it, there is a picture, and it is just more overall clean looking.

My distribution plan for my magazine is that i will make a social media account for the magazine and a billboard advertisement for my food magazine. I will make an Instagram account for the Food Illustrated magazine. It will show previews of what the magazine has to offer, including some pictures. With the billboard it will have our Magazine name and a little of what it has to offer. It will also have a way to find it online.

Another way magazine companies distribute there magazine is with commercial advertisements on TV. With a TV commercial advertisement the companies can get new subscribers very easily and with little work. The consumer could just be watching TV while chilling on their couch watching sports or news and then an ad comes up for your magazine and if they are interested then they will buy a subscription. For example,  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04XirbnQHSE , the magazine, amazing magazine, made a TV commercial. In the commercial it shows off what it offers. It is a children magazine with big colorful parts to it with things like fun facts.

Another way a magazine company can distribute there magazine is with billboards. If a magazine is being advertised on a billboard and someone is stuck in traffic they will look around and read it. If it is something like a fashion magazine and they are into fashion they may consider to look up the magazine when they get home and subscribe to it. For example, the magazine, Easy Living, made a billboard advertisement for there magazine, it shows a preview of what is in the magazine and if someone is interested they will look it up and maybe subscribe.

One method of distribution with magazines is with social media. A magazine brand can make a social media account and show a preview of what there magazine has to offer. From there account on something like Facebook, twitter, or Instagram, they can have a link to there website where the consumer could buy the magazine from there. For example, this magazine named, Foundr, has an Instagram page. As you can see they show little parts of there magazine, so if the person is intrigued they can click the link and buy a subscription.

The traditional distribution of a magazine is the usual amount of the magazine that is distributed, or bought throughout the year. For most magazines they type of distribution is with social media. They will have an Instagram, twitter, and Facebook. They might also have a billboard, talking about there magazine. The billboard will be very eye popping.

For my second revision i will be redoing my table of contents to look a lot better and cleaner than the original. I added pages numbers, added a picture, made it look genuinely cleaner, and not as brightly colored.
