Another way a magazine company can distribute there magazine is with billboards. If a magazine is being advertised on a billboard and someone is stuck in traffic they will look around and read it. If it is something like a fashion magazine and they are into fashion they may consider to look up the magazine when they get home and subscribe to it.

For example, the magazine, Easy Living, made a billboard advertisement for there magazine, it shows a preview of what is in the magazine and if someone is interested they will look it up and maybe subscribe.
