Project Selection-Magazine

The first magazine i'm looking at is called Asian Food magazine. The food on the cover is a type of soup. The cover picture is a little bland, but all the words are colorful. Most of the articles have a picture of a dish and then describes the food. It also has the recipe for the dish. The pictures in the magazine is of food that they are telling you how to cook. the distribution number of the magazine is unknown.

The magazine food and wine: the worlds best restaurants is a colorful magazine. The front cover has a white wall with a little two person table. On the table there is wine, rich food, and 2 chairs beside it. Inside the magazine it has some of the best restaurants and what they serve. Also it has some food with its recipes. The ads in the magazine are food advertisements to credit card advertisements. The advertisments are about every other page. The distribution number is 947,855

The cover of Food and Wine the french wine issue is colorful. there is a white table with a white plate, red steak, golden fries, and red wine. There are articles about how to cook food, where to get the food and a lot of ads. For instance on page 43 it shows steak frites with black garlic butter, and it shows the ingredients to make it. There are food brand ads like Barilla sauce. There are also American Express advertisements. The distribution number for this magazine is 947,855.

The magazine food and wine: the thanksgiving issue has a colorful cover. The main focus on the cover is a big cooked turkey in the center. There are big white text on the top and smaller text on the bottom. There are blue berries and apples beside the turkey. In the magazine they focus on thanksgiving day type of food. There are articles showing you how to cook the food with all the ingredients. The photos inside the magazine are all very colorful. The ads in the magazine are a mix of food products all the way to car brands. The distribution number is 947,855.

The magazine Cooking Light: fall soups stews and braises has a colorful cover. It is a blue background with to bowls of soup and steak bites. The soups on the cover are called peppery beef stew and loaded cauliflower soup. The title is in big red font with smaller white text on the right and left sides. The articles inside are about all types of soups for the fall. It shows you what they look like and how to make them. The distribution number for this magazine is 1,814,471.

My decision for the project is to do a magazine. I chose to do the magazine because I am doing the project With a group. Doing a film would be a lot harder and difficult. Also I can work on the magazine whenever, and I don’t need to schedule exactly when to work on it like a film. My group and I are doing a good magazine. It will have food from all over the world. The group is Danny Kyle Jackson and I. We each are choosing a different cultural food to focus on.
